The Neighborhood Favorite came to ENC by way of another one of our client, KS Designs, which already told us something important: this brand was being built in good company.
When the founder first came to us, she already had a name in mind, but as we moved into the early stages of messaging, it became clear that the original name could create friction down the road. Think: trademarking issues. So we did what strategy is supposed to do, we paused before momentum became a liability.

Instead of forcing a name that might not hold, we came back to the foundation. What was this shop really trying to become? What did it need to feel like? What kind of place was she building in Sedona, and why would people return to it again and again?
That led us back to something more personal, more ownable, and much more aligned: The Neighborhood Favorite, a name that plays off the founder’s last name while capturing the emotional role of the shop itself. It felt familiar without feeling expected and local without feeling small.

The visual identity was created to feel collected, textural, and quietly memorable. The color palette brought in soft blue, cream, dark green, lavender, olive, and deep brown, giving the brand a grounded Sedona-adjacent warmth without slipping into obvious desert clichés. The typography mixed elegance with ease, pairing a classic serif system with handwritten moments that gave the brand its personal, human touch.
The logo suite, illustrated brand elements, and custom pattern system extended the feeling even further. Florals, vessels, monograms, and hand-drawn details created a world that felt gathered over time, not generated overnight. It gave the brand room to show up across packaging, signage, social, web, and print in a way that felt cohesive but never overly polished.
The result is a brand that feels familiar, even the first time.
Now, ENC continues to support The Neighborhood Favorite through social strategy, content direction, and content capture, helping translate the in-store experience into an online presence that feels just as thoughtful as the shop itself.
